Building Project
The Ocala Art Group is currently seeking to buy the Gallery Square building located on East Silver Springs Boulevard. Our goal is to create a visual arts center for the city of Ocala with plans to include a children’s gallery as well as offering art classes for adults and children. Ocala Art Group plans to secure funding for the project through local, state, endowments, corporate grants and also through individual donations and business sponsorships.

  • Newsletters: Members of the Ocala Art Group are always kept abreast with the current news that the art group is involved. Bi-monthly newsletters are sent to members.
  • Art shows: OAG also sponsors four art shows each year to allow members to exhibit their work.
  • Demonstrations: Guest artists come to our meetings to give demonstrations and lectures.
  • Work shops: Three times a year one or two-day workshops by visiting artists are offered.
  • Camera Club-The camera club was developed to help artists improve their photography skills.
  • Digital Masters- Bring your digital camera and laptop and come join the fun. This group takes several field trips and offers lessons on using your digital camera and Photoshop software.
  • Meet great people with the same interests.
  • Make a difference by advancing the arts within the community.

Annual dues are $25.00. Renewal of membership must be paid by the first meeting of the year in September in order to be eligible to particpate in the show at Brick City Center for the Arts. Download and print the Membership Application here.
